Description
UL UCL FM Brass Pressure Reducing Restricting Device Fire Angle Hose Valve
Pressure restricting hose valves are used to restrict the pressure of flowing water up to 175 PSI. They are angle hose valves
with preset orifices which restrict the volume of water and thereby lower the pressure of the flowing water. NFPA requires restricting
valves where the inlet pressure exceeds 100 PSI. Pin may be removed by firefighters to allow fully open valve.
Unlike pressure regulating (reducing) type valves, pressure restricting valves have no effect on the static pressure of a system.
